We’ve all done it. My missus is exceptionally good at it. And her loony pal Sam is an expert!

“Never too much” .. apparently. Guessed what I’m talking about yet? … OVER PACKING!

Yes, the shameful moment you ‘stylishly’ crane your partner’s stupidly, (UNNECESSARILY) heavy case onto the scales at check-in, only to be rejected by the unimpressed assistant.

What do you do? Pay the excess £50 or ditch your least valued items?

It’s the dilemma Rewind singer James McElvar found himself in when travelling with easyJet from Stansted to Glasgow.

Now unlike my partner Vicky, who by this stage would have transferred her heaviest goods into my case – James decided to put on as many clothes as he possibly could, until his luggage was light enough.

This meant the 19-year-old boy band member was now wearing:
Six t-shirts, four jumpers, three pairs of jeans, two pairs of jogging bottoms, two jackets and two hats.

With a struggle, he made boarding – “It was impossible to walk, I could barely get on the plane.” But it wasn’t long after take-off before things started going horribly wrong.

Without going into too much detail, he overheated (obviously), puked everywhere and eventually passed out.

Fortunately there was an on-board paramedic who cared for him until an ambulance awaited him at Glasgow.

Probably not the sickest idea after all.
